El pasado jueves 15 de septiembre, la ciudad de Palma celebró el evento cultural más importante del año: NIT DE L'ART. Se trata de un acontecimiento organizado por las dos asociaciones de galeristas de Palma, ART PALMA CONTEMPORANI y AIGAB, para acercar el arte a todo el mundo y demostrar que las galerías son un lugar accesible y con las puertas abiertas a todo el mundo.

Esta ha sido la 15ª edición, y cada año se suman más y más museos y instituciones culturales que quieren formar parte de este espectáculo cultural único en la ciudad.
Un año más, la noche fue un éxito, y los espacios permanecieron abiertos hasta medianoche para todos los visitantes. Fueron muchísimas las personas que se acercaron hasta ABA Art para ver la multidisciplinaria exposición de Isabel Castro Jung: fotos, grabados, dibujos, vídeos... e incluso una performance, un espectáculo que dejó a los visitantes de lo más sorprendidos.

A partir del jueves 14 de julio, ABA Art Contemporani participa en la tercera edición de "Palma Dijous Nit", una iniciativa para los meses de verano que pretende dinamizar cultural y comercialmente el centro de Palma. El objetivo es conseguir una ciudad viva, abierta y dinámica; una Palma que abrirá sus comercios, bares, restaurantes, monumentos, museos, galerías de arte ... En las calles se podrá disfrutar de mercados, conciertos y actividades culturales.

Recuerda, todos los jueves de julio, agosto y septiembre la galeria ABA Art Contemporani permanecerá abierta hasta las 12 de la noche!!! Aprovecha esta oportunidad para visitar el lado nocturno de la ciudad y su arte!!!

Les invitamos a descubrir una propuesta del director de arte y fotógrafo
ALEJANDRO CLAVO. En la serie Agnus Dei, nos adentramos en una
colección de fotografías protagonizadas por un cordero solitario y
silencioso deambulando apaciblemente por diferentes escenarios
arquitectónicos y naturales. Una figura tan simbólica y infinitamente
representada en la Historia del Arte como el Agnus Dei transita en estas
fotografías por nuevos espacios construidos por el ser humano, logrando
dotar de extrema serenidad, introspección y silencio lugares
normalmente transitados por el hombre.

Aba Art contemporaneo tiene el placer de presentarles la nueva exposición de la artista Marga Gómez del Cerro. La artista nos muestra el camino que trazamos en nuestras vidas, la brevedad y el paso del tiempo, que son los ejes reflexivos sobre los que la artista realiza sus esculturas. En un proceso de construcción permanente, igual que en la vida, sus obras se alzan sobre sólidas bases y se colocan con fragilidad. Percibimos un elegante desafío: construcciones en equilibrio a punto de caer, hundiéndose o inacabadas. En palabras de Bernat Nadal dedicadas a la artista "el transcurso de la vida nos deja saber que los sueños son breves i el viaje largo".

Aba Art contemporaneo has the pleasure to present you the newest exhibition by the artist Marga Gómez del Cerro. The artist shows us the way we describe in our lives, its briefness and the passing of time, which are the reflexive axles on which she realizes her sculptures. In a progress of permanent construction, same as in life, her works rise up on solid bases and place themselves with fragility. In the words of Bernat Nadal dedicated to the artist "The way of life lets us know that the dreams are short and the journey long".

Buenos días a todos.

The Holy Week in Palma de Mallorca is a great event, eagerly awaited in the island. It starts on Palm sunday when Priests carry palm and olive branches. During the week enormous statues of Christ, the Virgin and other Saints are carried in large processions towards the streets of the city, so that many visitors are able to follow the spectacle.

But it's not only an event which takes place in the streets, it's also a great option to meet your family, to celebrate with tradicional food the end of the Lent and the Resurrection.

So if you're in Palma during this special week, enjoy the processions and try some of the typical tradicional food prepared for the Holy Week.

You won't regret it!

Les invitamos a adentrarse en un bosque soñado, en un lugar perfecto exento de los dolores y pesares de la vida moderna. TE RECUERDO AL SOL nos propone el regreso a primigenio, a aquella verdad inicial que sólo se encuentra en la naturaleza.

¨Sé que existe algo infinito, puro y bello. Me atrevo a llamarlo ternura del universo, o la tierra prometida. Es una geografía soñada donde los ríos no olvidan sus primeras montañas, con árboles custodios que guardan los secretos del horizonte (qué tierras ilumina el sol cuando se esconde, o el lugar donde nacen las estrellas...)

También se nos revela como una oscuridad en el pantano, donde las plantas acuáticas, el viento y los pájaros animan en la orilla una escena de amor supremo. Es un ideal, una fábula que no distingue entre bondad y belleza, y que al pintarse, deja de ser imaginación para convertirse en realidad.¨

El libro es un manual útil para galerías principiantes que comienzan a situarse en el mercado del arte. Explica muy bien las herramientas de marketing que deberían emplear, tanto las galerías como los artistas, para dar los primeros pasos en este campo y cómo hacerse un nombre.

The book is a useful manual for young galleries that are starting to establish themselves in the art market. It explains very well the marketing tools that galleries, as well as artists, should employ in order to take the first steps in that area and how to make a name for themselves.
